Video Subtitle Translator
Translate SRT or WebVTT subtitles with a supported on-device browser translator and preserve their timings.
Translates subtitle text only. This does not transcribe speech, dub audio or translate a video file. Automatic translation requires a desktop browser exposing the built-in Translator API, a supported language pair, and HTTPS. The browser may download a language model.
Choose subtitles. If automatic translation is unavailable, manual editing and export still work.
Translate video subtitles locally
- Export SRT or WebVTT subtitles from your video workflow.
- Load them here and choose source and target languages.
- Translate using the browser model, review the editable result and download.
- Import the saved subtitle file into your video player or editor.
Compatibility and accuracy
Not every listed language pair is available on every device. The tool checks availability and explains unsupported cases. Subtitle cue timestamps are preserved; WebVTT styling and note blocks are not retained. Use at most 500 cues and a 1 MB file. Review names, timing, meaning and line lengths. Text is passed to the browser's local translation API, not a remote translation service.
